don’t go to mechacon.
don’t go to mechacon.
Oh boy, this post has been a long-time coming because, as I’m sure anyone reading this or searching for this info already knows, A-kon 28 was kind of a shit show. My ass did fine, lower than expected and lower than normal AND lower than last year, but fine. But fine =/= good and mama has bills to pay.
IT’S THAT TIME AGAIN! Time to discuss the Artist Alleys I do this year! Which means I can no longer say I am anticipating con season- I’m DEEP IN IT! Like last year, I’m going to try and divide my assessment up into 3 parts- logistics, performance, and overall convention.
Oops! I seriously haven’t been keeping up with this, but I still wanted to share some old photos of the food I’d been preparing/eating. I’ve since moved back to NYC so this is quite dated, but as I no longer share my foods on Instagorm, y’know, what else is my blog for if not gratuitous self-indulgence.
Recently I joined my Lolita Comm for an old school meetup. Now, I don’t really own any Old School lolita besides one dress that I’m not really able to coord, so I just decided to wear my Innocent World Happy Pie JSK which is definitely definitely one of my favorites and I want to make some accessories to go with it very soon~
The end of 2016 was such a whirlwind I don’t even really know where to begin. I can say that I tripled my holiday season (and have gone on to double my January for 2017, but sales resolutions and conclusions are for another post) and I can say I’ve had a lot of luck and love and happiness around me (if we don’t count politics, which for the sake of my happy blog space we shall not). I went to London with my boyfriend’s family for Christmas and New Years- my first time in Europe since I was 12 months old- and it was really amazing!
If you know me, you know I love food terribly. Like, probably too much. My boyfriend can tell you about my many late-night food runs- childlike, impractical, often expensive, and usually unhealthy. It’s way too easy when you live in New York to say “oh, it’s 1AM? but I want X? Yes. I’m getting X.” It’s *maybe* my main reason for loving the city but since we’re in Texas for a few months, I’ve decided to cut myself a break and eat “healthy”.
